- Studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy
About
Kayla joined the Forefront Physiotherapy team in 2023 whilst undertaking her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University. Growing up participating in a range of sports, including netball, dance, and athletics, Kayla has experienced her fair share of injuries, thus sparking her interest in physiotherapy. Since joining the Forefront Physio team, she has enjoyed gaining valuable insights into her future career from both our physiotherapists and the clinic's patients.
Outside of her studies, Kayla enjoys reading in the sunshine, cuddling with her beloved puppy, Rufus, and spending time with friends. She also loves attending live music events, going for beach walks, and exploring new restaurants/cafes. Having traveled to Thailand and Vietnam, Kayla looks forward to exploring Europe once she completes her degree.
Career
After graduating from Kardinia International College in 2021, Kayla initially pursued a career in Nursing and Midwifery, enrolling in a double degree at Monash University. However, after a semester, she realized her passion for understanding the human body, particularly the musculoskeletal system. She made the decision to transfer to physiotherapy at ACU. Kayla is set to graduate in 2026 and is excited about where her degree will take her. Currently, she has a particular interest in Women’s and Paediatric Physiotherapy, as well as physiotherapy in a sporting context.
