  • Studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy

About

Kayla joined the Forefront Physiotherapy team in 2023 after beginning her Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree at Australian Catholic University (ACU). Growing up playing a variety of sports including netball, dance and athletics, Kayla suffered from her fair share of injuries which sparked her interest in physiotherapy. Since joining the Forefront team, Kayla has enjoyed gaining insight into her future career and learning valuable knowledge and skills from the physiotherapists and the clinic's patients.

When she isn’t studying, Kayla enjoys reading in the sunshine or cuddling up with her much-loved puppy dog, Rufus. She delights in seeing friends, live music, enjoying beach walks and eating delicious food from new and well-loved places. Having only travelled to Thailand and Vietnam, Kayla hopes to explore Europe upon finishing her university degree.

Career

After graduating from Kardinia International College in 2021, Kayla pursued a career in Nursing and Midwifery by studying a double degree at Monash University. However, after a semester, she realised she had a desire to gain a deeper understanding of the body, in particular the musculoskeletal system. She decided to transfer to a degree in physiotherapy at ACU. With plans to graduate in 2026, Kayla is unsure where her degree will take her. However, she currently has a particular interest in Women’s and Paediatric Physio, as well as physiotherapy in a sporting setting.
