Chris Howarth

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Australian Physiotherapy Association Member
  • Early Intervention Physiotherapist with WorkSafe / TAC

Chris is originally from the Gold Coast in Queensland. Through physiotherapy Chris was able to channel his passion for sports and keeping active in a rewarding way. Chris is passionate about sport in general and has a diverse range of interests but particularly loves basketball and rugby.

After several years working, Chris was able to take some time off to travel across Europe and South America where he also developed a love for hiking and exploring the outdoors.

Over the last five years, Chris has worked across two Physiotherapy clinics in Brisbane. While at these clinics Chris was exposed to sports physiotherapy at both professional and amateur levels, whilst also working extensively with chronic pain and pre and post orthopaedic patients. This experience, plus a diverse range of ongoing professional development, has given Chris a vast skill set to help a large spectrum of patients.

Chris has a love for growing and expanding his knowledge and skills which has led him to Geelong to study a Doctor of Medicine at Deakin University. This opportunity allows him to further expand his scope of practice and broaden his ability to help the community.

Despite moving toward medicine, Chris is still incredibly passionate about Physiotherapy / Sports Medicine and has undertaken extensive sports physio work with the Super Rugby team, The Queensland Reds, just prior to moving to Geelong. His special areas of interest are injuries to the shoulder and hip, as well as running injuries.
